NFL Overtime Rant

This will be short and sweet, but I have to put this out there and I'm sure most of you agree.

                                                                         (Bob Rosato/SI)

We witnessed a great NFC Championship game tonight, back and forth and the Vikings fought back even though they couldn't hang on to the football this evening. Sure enough it was a game meant for overtime, and it just is a shame that a game of this caliber had to come down to a ridiculous set of rules. For as much as I dislike Brett Favre, he deserved a shot at winning the NFC tonight and he didn't get that opportunity in overtime. The NFL needs to come up with a new set of rules for overtime that allows both offenses to take the field. Like I said, short and sweet, it was just bothering me and I had to get it out there.
