Welcome to International House of Beisbol, by Blaine Curcio

For those who are reading this article, congratulations, you are reading the first of many articles of what will undoubtedly be the most widely read baseball and general sports blog in America within 1 year. Maybe. My contributions to this blog will cover a wide array of things, including fantasy baseball, young prospects that I feel are up-and-coming, and perhaps most importantly, international players with limited exposure here in the states. I may also write the occasional blog on the Italian Serie A European football league, as well as the Champions League. As I am not a really big fan of stats, my blogs will not go very deep into sabermetrics, etc, I’ll mainly keep it to the basics, OBP, ERA, and other familiar acronyms that aren’t ZIP, DIP, CLIP, or any other asinine word. I am a big fan of pitching, and my blogs will be geared towards pitchers. I honestly am not someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes baseball, but I do certainly love the game and will present my articles with attempted neutrality (not too biased towards the Chicago Cubs) and integrity. If you have any problems with any of my articles, or if you particularly enjoy them, or if you just feel like yelling at me or something, e-mail me at Blainecurcio@yahoo.com. My biggest influence in sports writing is Jayson Stark.
I hope that our blogs bring you some enjoyment, humor, knowledge, arousal, or even rage. In the words of Jayson Stark, “check in any time”
Blaine Curcio
